Soundwave DC-2702
This Soundwave DC 2702 is a very rare, 3-piece ghettoblaster that was sold in Germany. Probably from the late 80s, judging by the styling. Like many models from that era, it's twice as big as it needs to be. It's 876mm long, 286mm tall, and 215mm deep, but it only weighs 8.3 KG (the center unit is 4.1 KG, and each speaker is 2.1 KG).
It looks good with its grills off, showing the nice chrome. The upper speaker looks smaller than the bottom one, but that's just because of how the chrome trim is shaped. If you go inside, you will see that both speakers are the same size (12cm). The bottom one is active, while the upper one is a passive radiator. And there are tweeters behind the "SURROUND" grills.
The amplifier chip is a Panasonic AN7177. The speakers are 8 Ohms, which is pretty restrictive for a boombox. It would have been louder with lower Ohm speakers. So you could easily make it louder by replacing the speakers.
